The RED DRAGON Artisan Crafted Feather Quill Pen

The Red Dragon is created from RARE Non-Typical Vintage Turkey Millinery Quills, & these beautiful feathers are over 100 years old. Due to age, storage techniques of the time, and the dyes used to produce them, which caused bleeding along the feathering as well as fading. This produced some very unique & beautiful OOAK shades making each and every one special. These 2 are created with feathers whose colours range from multi hued red & crimson. The whimsical Dragon’s Tail is hand painted in gold running the entire length of the main quill, backed with a matching ostrich plume. The shaft is wrapped in red leather, cross hatched in golden wire with a custom golden ferrule which will allow for the inter-change of writing points.

Accents: Custom gold ferrule which allows for the inter-change of nibs, beaded dragon totem, sterling silver beads & spacers, with a lovely hand dyed woolen base wrap.

This is an exclusive Studio on the Pond design, and is of course one-of-a-kind, not crafted in China. Because the quill comes from nature (Naturally Molted), there will be variations in colouring. I will do my best to match that which is shown in the photograph, but this does need to be considered when purchasing. Feathers are like fingerprints, one of a kind. :)

The Red Dragon is 100% handcrafted, singly, not mass produced, in my small studio in West TN.
