Sunflowers & Dragonflies ... handcrafted from a vintage millenary turkey feather.
Hand-painted in delicate gold scrolling lines upon a uniquely beautiful, nearly crimson, vintage millenary quill. It carries a silver ferrule which will allow for the inter-change of nibs. Pen Size is 12+ inches. Accents include a very lovely paper crafted sunflower & lampworked dragonfly focal with peach coloured satin ribbon accents, and golden base wrapping, with aurora borealis & red crystal accents within the delicate painted lines. It is tissue wrapped, comes with extra nibs, and complete with my CSD studio certificate of authenticity.
About the Quill used in the making of this pen: It has been crafted from RARE Non-Typical Vintage Turkey Millinery Quill, & these beautiful feathers are over 100 years old. Due to age, storage techniques of the time, and the dyes used to produce the colours pictured, which caused bleeding along the feathering as well as fading. This produced some very unique & beautiful OOAK shades making each and every one special. I hope you enjoy!
